So far…

…my luck is holding.

The dam does indeed NOT leak!!!

Joy and Happiness is mine!!!

At least until I have to face traffic again tomorrow morning!

What a bloody mission it was today – and I did not even leave that much later than I usually do. But travelling from 7 am to 8:30 am – never a fun thing to do on a Monday morning!

And then you get the looks from the managers. You’d swear they’ve never gotten stuck in traffic!! Β Especially here in South Africa – our road users are not the most gracious bunch, and are just as likely to force you off the road than they are to let you in in front of them.

And then I had to try and fix a document typed in Tables in Word. Whoever designed that particular aspect of an already sucky program, needs to be drawn and quartered!! Eventually I just started the whole thing from scratch again, copied in all the text, made a whole new document. Don’t know if I am the stupid one or the previous user.

Still. Every day that passes, I learn a bit more about the morass that’s MS Word…

In a little while I’ll be off to my bi-weekly dancing lesson – it’s been a while since I’ve been to the studio – looking forward to it!

Long days and pleasant nights folks!!

  2. Good to hear that the dam is holding.
There was a bumper bashing on the road today and it made me 15 min late which just caused a huge chain reaction as we had to leave for the fontein of still. We ended up getting here 45 min later than planned πŸ˜•
    Have fun dancing tonight

    • That’s the thing with these stupid accidents – it just creates havoc everywhere, and we just have to suck it up.
I still think a motorbike is the only way to avoid all that…
And the dancing was more fun that I ever though possible πŸ˜‰

  3. Great news on the pond! If we were face to face, I would simply be nodding in response to the geniuses who designed Microsoft Word. I am deemed an expert on it and there are days it drives me insane. You did exactly the right move though it is maddening. Sometimes the fastest is a start over. Argh!

    • it was either that, or gnaw off my femoral artery – I went with creating a new document πŸ˜‰
Does not mean I enjoy working on it – probably never will, but hey – another day, another dollar, eh!

    • What a question Tess!!
I’m quite well versed in Excel – much prefer working in that than in Word!!
Alas – the boss wants it in the Word tables format, so that’s what the boss gets!

  4. Love the blog, LOVE the song.
So I shall a song of my own, if that is ok.?

    Spreading the blogisphere love…
