Monday's mirth…

Howdy folks!!!

Hope the weekend treated you all exeptionally well?

I had a great one!

Lots of koek en tee on Saturday for BiL’s b day, delicious, home-cooked steak at the Porra, including a bunch of things from Starbucks from his london trip.

Brought me 2 little tins of mikro fine ground, instant coffee – set him back 7 pounds per tin!!

A gorgeous metal travel mug, a tin of tea and a red telephone box piggy bank with the most delicious jelly babies inside!

I’ve tasted each already and the travel mug is waiting for my first trip to a new job – whenever that may be.

Enjoyed the super moon on Saturday, and last night. I do like it when the moon rises like a big, fat, yellow ball.

I wonder, does it always do that, and I just never see it? Or does it only happen on certain occasions?

How’s this weather in Johburg? It’s been boiling hot here! Wore a summers dress on Saturday – because it felt like summer!

Not a sign of winter anywhere, unless you look at some of the trees. And most of them still has their foliage intact. Even my mulberry tree, the one that’s usually completely bare by the end of March still has green leaves on.

Think it’s going to be a strange winter this year…

I’m still not gainfully employed – still hoping for a miracle.

Although I might have to fight for something to do once the government releases the 30 000 prisoners – I mean we all know having a jailbird in your employ is much better than having a whitey there!!

And that segues in well with my joke today – hope you have a splendid Monday!!

Country Politics
————————-

A busload of politicians were driving down a country road, when suddenly the bus ran off the road and crashed into an old farmer’s barn.

The old farmer got off his tractor and went to investigate. Soon he dug a hole and buried the politicians. A few days later, the local sheriff came out, saw the crashed bus and asked the old farmer where all the politicians had gone.

The old farmer told him he had buried them.

The sheriff asked the old farmer, “Lordy, were they ALL dead?”

The old farmer said, “Well, some of them said they weren’t, but you know how them crooked politicians lie.”

  2. Don’t know if like would be the operative word here, but I’m not complaining 😉 He goes overseas regularly – next order would be pop tarts ;-)As for the mug – it will never see the inside of any office – just my car on the way there in the morning.Glad you liked the joke 😉

  3. Good giggle at the joke!Glad you had a good weekend. Now all you need is groups of people all frantically waving lucrative contracts of employment at you!
