Thursday's titter…

Well, there you go.

Over the hump, all the way downhill to the weekend!

Ain’t life grand!!!

I am pleased to announce that the buddy did pay the money back yesterday – as promised.

All the agonising for nought!

So, it might actually seem that people can, after all, surprise you.

I for one am glad.

I do hope that she can get things sorted out – and not fall for the husband’s sobstories.

I’ve decided to tickle the ivories every evening.

Practice the skill that I learnt many years ago.

Definitely something you lose if you don’t keep practicing.

My thing is only that I can’t play in front of an audience.

Never quite the performer πŸ˜‰

So, if my son’s here, and he thinks of turning his attention to me, I’m stuffed!!

So he gets to sit there, but he should not give me any attention!

Silly, I know, but there you have it.

At least it gets me away from the bloody computer for a bit!

Spend way too much time in front of this thing as it is!

Time to break the habit – get something else to do.

In time, I might get an actual life, instead of a cyber life…

One good thing about WordPress – I can access it from work.

Not many people on there just yet, but at least I can fill a few empty minutes with reading the few that are there – might have to branch out and read the rest of the blogs on there.

Might even get the widget thing to work πŸ˜‰

And for those of you that don’t know – an Oompa Loompa is a little man that works in Charlie’s Chocolate factory.

In this case, the version with Gene Wilder, not Johnny Depp.

Go have a squizz at the movies – both of them are great!

I think I’ve emptied my brain now.

Looks like I might need to do something – have nothing to write about!

Do hope the day is good, and be sure to dress warmly – it seems slightly cold this side.

Chapped Lips
————————-

On a hot, dusty day a cowboy rode into a small frontier town. After
dismounting, he walked behind his horse, lifted it’s tail and kissed it where
the sun don’t shine.  An old man rocking by the general store witnessed the
whole thing.

“Whudd’ya do that fer?” he asked.

“Got chapped lips,” the cowboy replied.

The old man asked, “Does that help?”

The cowboy said, “Nope, but it keeps me from lickin’ ’em.”

  1. I am so happy that you got your money back. It is such a risky thing among friends.Keep practicing, itΒ΄s fun.

  2. WP does take getting used to, but I think, once we’ve gotten used to it, it will get much better – as with everything. It’s not LD, and I’m still trying to figure out where to go to to selct random blogs, but hey – nothing a bit of time and effort can’t cure ;-)PS – I’ve always wanted to play the saxophone.Suppose it’s never to late to learn πŸ˜‰

  3. I was wary of doing it, but I did my bit to help a fellow human, quite prepared to write the money off.As for the piano – you’re entirely right πŸ˜‰
