On this day…

…the sky is blue.

Perfect for loads of washing to dry crisp in the heat of the sun.

Perfect for white bodies to catch the rays of yellow sunshine, changing the white into an apealing shade of tan.

Perfect for wearing a thin strapped sundress with stringy sandals.

Perfect for watching coals become just the right temperature, and hear the meat sizzle on the grill.

Perfect for smelling the smoke from a thousand braai fires permeating the air.

Perfect for laughter around a pool noodle in the cool blue water.

Perfect for young lovers to sit on a blanket, under a big shade tree, exited with the feelings unfolding.

Perfect for the hiss of an opening cool drink bottle, feeling the cool sweetness slide down your throat.

Perfect.

And here I am, sitting in front of my computer. Such a sad life I live…

  1. I went straight here from reading a post on another blog with a series of snow pictures and report of an easterly wind and temperatures of -2. Isn’t the world wonderful in all its variety? Have a great day ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. LOL! yep can so relate to that, sat in front of the computer while the world goes only blissfully and warmly. although to be fair, I did meet a friend for a lovely lunch and enjoyed a nice bit of outdoors. Hope you get outside just now ๐Ÿ™‚

    • I did get outside – did the washing today. Still have a lot that has to be folded and brought inside ๐Ÿ˜‰
I posted that Soft Cell song I was talking about the other day – take a listen…

    • Brunch at the club – sounds quite lovely ๐Ÿ˜‰
Maybe i should hie myself to some place too – just to get shot of this bout of cabin fever I seem to be developing!!

  3. I’d love to experience that sunny perfect day and go for a picnic. Summer is so far away for us at the moment:-P. Enjoy the beautiful weather J.

    • It looks as if today’s going to be another perfect day.
Don’t worry – the leaves have started to fall here – in no time you’ll have summer again ๐Ÿ˜‰
