For me, it already started at 3 am. When screaming cats woke me up. One inside the house, strange cat outside. So, they spoke loudly. Why at 3 am? Why not 10 pm? Or 5 am? Suppose it won’t have the same nuisance factor then!!
Such is life if you have animals though.
And finally, the birthing day is here. The past year was, to say the least, not my best one. Might in all likelihood be classed as one of the worst years so far. And even today is a bit of an anti-climax. Difficult to get exited about a day that has dawned just like any other, without any preceding celebrations. Even yesterday, after I got home from the run, mom and the kid was sitting here, having lunch she bought them. Wanted to pawn off half their hamburgers and things off on me, but then, my ass got even harder. Probably wrong of me to expect others to go out of their way for my birthday, then again, I do for their birthdays. Oh well. It will happen as it should, and I’ve already been wished by a few people, for which I’m thankful. One’s birthday is worth celebrating, because the person is worth celebrating. And, even if nobody is here to celebrate with me, too busy with their own lives, I will just have to celebrate myself – should not have to change my general attitude towards humanity just because it’s my birthday!! Therein lies misery 😉
So. Here’s to me. 44 years old and never missed a day of life!!
Hope your Monday is as good as it can be, and that the week will follow suit 😉
There were three little boys visiting their grandparents.
The oldest came out and asked his grandpa, “Can you make a sound
like a frog, Grandpappy?
Grandpa (being in a kind of ill mood) responds, “No, I don’t really
want to make the sound of a frog now.”
So, the second little boy comes out and asks his grandfather, “Will
you please make a sound like a frog?”
Grandpa again says, “No, not now. I don’t really want to do that.
I’m in a grumpy mood. Maybe later.”
Then the third little boy comes out and says, “Grandpa, oh please…
Please, please will you make a sound like a frog?”
“Why do all of you boys want me to make a sound like a frog?” Grandpa
The little boy replied with a hopeful face, “Well, Mom said that when
you croak we get to go to Disney World!”
