Wednesday's whack…

Good morning people!

All slept well, I hope?

Youngest watched Lake House last night.

So I watched the last part with him – which, in hindsight, was maybe not the best idea ever, but hey.

Cool movie.

And sometimes it’s good to watch something like that.

Just to keep the tear ducts in full working condition 😉

Still nothing new on the jobfront.

Been sending away CV’s at a rate of knots again these past few days.

And while I’m at it, I’m sending CV’s to the eldest, to the new BF, as well as sending things away for the youngest.

Talk about multitasking!!

If I find each of them jobs before I find one for myself, they’re each going to pay me!!

That’s only fair I think!

And now for something completely different…

Does anybody have any idea on how to keep those little goggatjies out of your powedered stuff?

They get into flour, spices, rusks – anything powder based, and it’s a major issue!

I never use things quick enough, so they all stand in my cupboards – and when I do want to use it, there’s insects in.

Fridge is just not big enough to keep everything in there, and nothing else keeps them out.

Neither tins, nor tupperware…

And I don’t suppose I can spray poison on my cupboard shelves…

And on that note, let’s start the day.

Hope it’s a good one…

One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried
piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered
up anyway; it just wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey. He invited all his neighbors to come over and
help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the
well.

At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then,
to everyone’s amazement he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the
farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw.
With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something
amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal,
he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over
the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to
getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone.
We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up!
Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred – Forgive.
2. Free your mind from worries – Most never happen.
3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less

NOW ——–

Enough of that crap . .
The donkey later came back and bit the sh*t out of
the farmer who had tried to bury him. The gash from the
bite got infected, and the farmer eventually died in
agony from septic shock.

MORAL FROM TODAY’S LESSON:
When you do something wrong and try to cover your
ass, it always comes back to bite you.

  1. For sure your sins will find you out. I really believe this. Good luck with the job hunting. xxx

  2. Sorry to hear of your troulbes Ghia .. positive thoughts it will be short lived.Weavils are resident in all wheat based products because the manufacturer hasn’t processed the product enough to kill off them eggs. They generally originate in your flour and go from there into everything else!Try putting Carbodust down on the shelve and put all wheat / grain products in sealed containers to prevent cross contaminationOrKeep you flour somewhere completely different – like in the fridge 😉 (I have never tried that :))Have a great day
