Monday's mirth…

And here we are again.

Monday morning.

There’s a slight nip in the air – nothing serious, just lovely crisp and fresh.

Harbinger of winter sure, but also a chance to wear my jerseys and boots and thick socks and leather jacket πŸ˜‰

Yesterday, at the concert, they had this little 11 year old and a 7 year old that sang a few songs.

Could not believe the sounds that came out of those 2 mouths.

Absolutely amazing!

I had to wonder though, what kind of life those kids lead?

Do they get time to play and be kids?

Or are their days filled with singing and more singing and voice exercises and comportment lessons.

The 11 year old’s diction was lovely.

None of these shortened vowels and swinging up and down between notes.

Clear and concise, every word clearly punctuated – as it should be.

Mowed the lawn on Saturday.

Was quite proud of myself – only took me an hour πŸ˜‰

With rests inbetween of course!

I’m hoping it will get better as time goes by.

I’ll become a bit fitter, and more able to do all the things that needs doing in a garden.

Get to know the ins and outs of my garden again, see where things needs to be done, plants to be pruned or removed – such a lot of things happening!

Oh well.

Let’s start the day, and the week in the hopes that things will work out for all of us the way it should, without being too detrimental to our inner peace…

Sex Drive

A 97 year old man goes into his doctor’s office and says,”Doc, I want my sex drive lowered.”

“Sir”, replied the doctor, “You’re 97. Don’t you think your sex drive
is all in your head?”

“You’re darned right it is!” replied the old man. “That’s why I want
it lowered!”
